The Watch is built in the Renpy Engine, but it is not a visual novel. We built our own framework within it (technically, it's our 6th iteration) that's dynamic and all stages of adding a scene are completely modular. This means the code will never turn into spaghetti because it doesn't weave like a spider web. It has a single starting point the game always returns back to.
Because of how the framework is designed, we could add new content and release a new and stable version update every single day of the week. And there is no limit to how much content we can add, unless you consider the size of the download a limitation.

Story:

The House Party game (which is available for free right now on the site mentioned below) is similar to a lot of the browser-based games where your choices influence your success as you progress in the game, but it plays like a first-person RPG with interactive game models, characters, and physics, like the aforementioned Leisure Suit Larry. My inclination is to take these games in a much more raunchy direction than the LSL series however.
